Co-Owner and Coach Jill Mall has been CrossFitting for six years, and she’s a fanatic for the awesome community at SouthWind CrossFit. "We have been blessed with such great members," she says. "So many good people have come through our doors that have turned into lifelong friends and even blossomed into marriages. Creating an environment where strangers become friends instantly is awesome!"
Jill played four years of high school basketball (she won the "Most Improved Player" award her junior year) and threw the javelin in track & field. In college, she played recreational sports and did P90X. In 2011, she was hired as the fitness specialist at the Hays Recreation Commission, where her boss was doing CrossFit workouts on his own off of CrossFit.com. "He talked me into doing a WOD with him one day at the gym, and at the time I was doing P90X so I thought I was in pretty good shape," she says. "The workout kicked my butt, and so I was hooked after that."
Jill specializes in CrossFit Kids and prenatal/postnatal fitness, and she’s completely addicted to coffee. When she’s not in the gym, she and her husband Tucker are busy with their three kids, farming chickens, and making coffee with one of the eight different devices in their house for coffee brewing.
